Was in a 4 lap race with MercedesCLKGTR and others at Spa GP. I was watching the clock, and he ran a couple of sub 2:00 laps there, but his lap times never show up on the leaderboards.
Anyone know what causes this?

If only there where a CLK-GTR But he probably left the tarmac somewhere and got a warning; That way that laptime will not be recorded .. Grtz, Bandit

At Spa, perhaps he went straight through the chicane twice, I assume the 3rd time would have disqualfied him?

I tried to get disqualified at Spa and I think I got 5 warnings and got disqualified when I cut the track 6th time. I'm sure I saw 4 warnings, but I think there was a 5th one too before the disqualification. Jussi

Hi!
He was cutting the chicanes... Its probably the only way to do sub 2m anyway... As soon as you have a warning, your time should not be considered, I guess.

I've done a few races with BlackListBeta, who's run a 2:02 at Spa, but I don't recall if I've run with him there. This might have been speed bug run.

Hi!
Well, I know that at least 2m 04s are possible and legal for Zonda R... I personally only Raced Spa in Career with Default Setup and didnt do re-runs... So very little experience there, but I think I did 2m 06s even so.
Cya!

If i'm correct, the lap one gets a warning for leaving the track will not be counted; If the other laps are clean those laps will be recorded .. (?) I get warnings every now and then when going to fast into a corner and sliding outwards over the curbstones, coming out of the corner so i'll pay more attention next time that happens if the other (clean) laptimes do or do not get recorded. morning/afternoon/evening all...or whatever time it is for you in the world.
I honestly dont remember that race, but then again i dont remember what i did last week <(o.o);
i've done a couple of 2:05:00min times on Spa, but i'm mostly in the 2:10:00 range. Simply because the races are too short to get into " race mode" in my mind. NFI on how they show up as sub 2min times tho.. thats really strange.
i've seen people cut the last 2 sets of s-bends on spa. i really wish that would of put a invisible wall in there somewhere to stop people from cutting that corner. it gets frustrating when you try to race clean and fair. only to be out done by someone cheating.
Thanks for the link to this site RCGLDR. quite a good community here from what i've seem ^_^
EDIT: i originally said " 1:55:00 times".. but i was thinking of road america.. my bad.

I've done a couple of 2:05:00 times on Spa, but i'm mostly in the 2:10:00 range. At the time I raced you, I was estimating your lap time based on the race leaderboard that shows the number of seconds between players. It turns out that that esimated time isn't that accurate. The sub 2:00 time I saw when I checked the post race stats was another player, but as mentioned that time never showed up on the leaderboard. I had mixed up the two different races, sorry. I'm not quite that fast. I'm running 2:07or 2:08, sometimes getting under 2:07 if I chance it at the dip / chicane near the start of the lap and hope the car doesn't bounce off track to the left.

I'm not quite that fast. I'm running 2:07or 2:08, sometimes getting under 2:07 if I chance it at the dip / chicane near the start of the lap and hope the car doesn't bounce off track to the left. when your comming into that dip, change from 5th -> 4th with about 20% brake to get your entry speed down. and about a quarter of the way through the corner, start to slowly get back on the throttle, at turn 2 you should be back at 100% throttle. its a bit hard to explain so i'll do up a quick video tonight. i read in the other thread that you have 0/1 downforce on all cars? change the front downforce so its 1/1 and it should provide you with a bit more grip up front, so you dont go straight into the tyres. my times are finally starting to show up on Spa aswell. with a 2:05xxx

Spa ... if I chance it at the dip / chicane near the start of the lap and hope the car doesn't bounce off track to the left. when your comming into that dip, change from 5th -> 4th with about 20% brake to get your entry speed down. and about a quarter of the way through the corner, start to slowly get back on the throttle The issue is bouncing there. With NFS Shift, you don't need to be delicate with the throttle. As soon as the car isn't bouncing, you can peg the throttle, the game has some hidden traction control assist that can't be turned off. With all assists off, I can spin out the Zonda in 2nd gear and in 3rd gear if I jerk the car too much, but usually in 3rd gear I can use heavy or full throttle once past mid turn, and in 4th gear or higher, I can peg the throttle all the way through a turn with the rear end hanging out, and use steering inputs to limit the oversteer. In 4th or higher gear, the car runs out of power before it runs out of grip, which is why I use low downforce. The car can take turns a bit faster if it's oversteering. When going over crests, I do have to countersteer to keep the car from getting sideways though. At the first chicane at Spa, the main thing that helps is going over the curbing on the left, then the right which pulls the car a bit into those turns, and that path is a bit less bouncy. I've already made a video that shows a good run through the chicane: rcgldr.net/nfss/nssfzdr.wmvAs far as the lap times go, based on the videos I've seen, apparently NFS Shift plays a bit differently depending on a players system, and some players are simply getting more grip and less bouncing than other players. It could turn out that it's all related to the bouncing, that subtle bouncing is what is causing the differences in grip. Some players have reported an obvious speed bug (like Cipriani running a 5:55 at Nordschleife in the Maserati MC12). Many have reported an issue with the Nissan GTR SpecV changing from race to race, and some have reported that the EVO IX sometimes gets glitched, where nitrous causes the tires to spin in all gears. There may be other not so obvious speed bugs at work here also.
