Hi guys (and gals)!
I've decided to announce a Visual Tuning Competition for ISRC's online livery pack in Shift. The rules are going to be very specific, so pay attention to them, if you are going to participate.
Here's what you need to do:
1. Come up with a relatively easy to make vinyl combo and color set and apply it to 3 different type cars, a hatchback, a sedan and a coupe.
Here are examples of hatchbacks:
Let's put it this way... Hatchbacks have almost vertical rear window behind the rear axle line, Sedans have a trunk that has some horizontal part of it and Coupes have their rear window above the rear wheels in less than 45o angle. There are some hard to categorize cars like Corolla and 240SX, but I think they are more Coupes than Sedans and definitely not hatchbacks.
2. You can use paints and vinyls, but do not use numbers or text and make sure all the vinyls you use at the rear of the car, are visible in this kind of screen...
...in other words the maximum vinyl count for the rear section is 5.
3. Take all those three cars to track and...
...hit ESC while the count down is running...
...go to photo mode...
...choose this camera angle and upload the photo without moving or zooming the camera...
...or simply take this screenshot with Fraps...
4. Send all 3 full size screenshots to to my email jusa2000hotmail.com
I will add more details (like the deadline) later, but you can already start making those vinyls. The entries will be judged by our very own Shift PBRC racers.
Jussi
PS. Please ask, if there's anything that needs clarifying.
