That is nice Aaron, but you need to improve by 2 secs to win. I think the best I have seen so far was a 45.2 - was on consol I think.
Remember there are prices to win and each week 3 videos will br rewarded. One for fastest lap, 2nd for most viewed on youtube and 3rd by lucky draw.
So just upload lots of videos with a smal improvement and they will all count.
I also did 46.xx with default setup and I too think that you can do 44 secs on that track. I raced it for maybe 5 times and each time I got a 46, but I do not know that track - besides for doing a few online races.

Well im not wasting any more of my time on this. People are posting video and showing their times from the screen before the race. They could easily use another car to get the time they are posting.
Did get 46.33, until i seen those videos and decided to give this up.
-Edit- Guess i should think before i post. To help promote ISRC, i will be happy to post a video. Even if its not fair.

All right everybody - start your engines. The next challenge takes place at Brands Hatch Indy. Now Jussi could you ask Dillano about making an intro for us? I know he is a member but I think it should be you as the President that asks this. Beg if necessary Week 2 youtube challenge www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1G-ogu1C6YPoul I'll be glad to oblige, but, Poul, you could have asked me yourself, lol. I just need to know what I need to include, what is the deadline it needs to be ready by, length of the intro and some gameplay vids and pics since I do not have the game myself. If I have the time on the weekend I can make something epic.

Are anyone planning on doing this challenge? As Dillano mentioned he needs an intro video of Shift and perhaps some pictures - he knows what he needs to make this look good I think. Since he does not own the game himself, he needs some assistence in obtaining this. Perhaps Jeff could provide this? My internet connection is too slow for this I think, - if he needs the raw file it would take days to send.
Who has a really fast upload connection? All Dillanos needs is someone sending him the intro (rawfile using FRAPS) and what he think he needs to get this to look good.
Jeff?

I have made a setup and been doing a bit practicing in this challenge. My best is 45.57 and i thought I should have been doing some more testing today, but as it turns out we had another race in Shift PBRC that I was unaware of ended today.
Perhaps someone would be interested in testing using my setup? I know I can do 44 sec on this track, but as mentioned I ran out of time. If anyone wants to try my setup let me know and I will post it to you. I know that perhaps some of those in this challenge have been "cheating", but really hard to tell when people only upload the replay. I hope and think that EA youtube will sort that out.

You mean the "attract" video shown at the start of the game? It's pretty long.

You mean the "attract" video shown at the start of the game? It's pretty long. I do not know what he needs, but he would likely need the intro videos including the opening Need For Speed Shift logo clip. What does he need more Jeff you think? I know it is a very big file if they are not compressed. But I have no idea how to use Zip or another program. It would take a long time with my connection because I have a very high download but hardly any upload speed. I still think this video should be made because at some point one in here will get the time to make ISRC II public to a much wider audience by winning this challenge. Poul

I created two avi files, each is 1280x720x30fps, which is the ideal size and speed for youtube videos. Avi files now uploaded. You'll need fraps (freeware version will work) in order to install the fraps decoder (these are fraps captured files): It's probably easiest to go to this link: rcgldr.net/nfssthen download these files: nfssea.avi (84 mb) nfssintro.avi (573 mb)

You are awesome Jeff - thank you.
Now let us hear what Dillano thinks he needs more. ISRC II logo of course - but what else should be included in this?

I will post it to you. I know that perhaps some of those in this challenge have been cheating. I still suspect that lap times are affected by the players system, (the version of windows, the PC components, the controller, ...). The guy that made this video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=vg0Q_IpyUWwhas also run a 6:45.450 at Nordschleife in the works upgraded Audi TT, a tier 1 car. www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQ8BCwj5CWI&fmt=22and a 6:32.950 in a Porsche Cayman S: www.youtube.com/watch?v=K54_zBH2AHA&fmt=22Online I also see a few players like Ziggel and Zestxkruiz posting very fast times. BlackListBeta has posted some fast times at a couple of tracks. Just check out the online leaderboards.

Well I do not know what it is. I am not sure its performance but maybe it is better handling. Damper effect maybe? If it is the controller or the setup or both - who knows? But I agree that some players seem to be able to control the car in speeds i will never be able to - unless someone tells me or I find out why this much difference. It could be setup related and then what mode people play in!

The guy that did those times is using something I have a hard time beliving is better, but already a few people told me that on some cases is really better... And that is Steering Assist on Low... Some day I will have to test this myself probably. Also, he uses High TC, which enables him to drive any car basically... About those 2 super fast Drivers, I only know about Ziggel... He is very good and fast German Driver... He probably only dominates a few tracks, because those are the tracks being used in the several NFS Shift Championships that are happening in Germany right now. He said to Paragleiber that he did 5m 56s in Nord with Zonda R, out of curiosity (custom setup). Cya! Rogério

I do know about Ziggel though and I have seen him racing offline. He is really a very skilled player and I am sure none of his times are cheated.

This weeks winner was Ardathrokok who made a 43.950 and that is the same guy Jeff gave some links to above.
I have no idea but he sure has better grip than me with the Audi S3, but also with Cayman S. Now I really would like to know if it is setup related or assist related perhaps. Anyway let us see what next challenge will be.
