I've read that NFS (2015) requires an internet connection at all times just to play the game. Is this true? If so, then if EA drops support for NFS (2015), the game could no longer be played.
Also, I share internet connection on my computer with others in my home, and usually have the internet disconnected from my computer when playing games.

If you are disconnected from the internet, you cannot play. It's probably the single biggest fail EA made with this game in my opinion. I've been dropped out of the game at least 3 times due to a server issue so yeah, if they decide to shut down the server, you will have a nice shiny NFS coaster to catch all your tears.
