Hi guys and gals! I can't seem to be able to beat Ron Kay in this duel... ...with any fully tuned (but default tuning) US Manufacturer Car. Could someone lend me their custom tuned US Manufacturer Car for this challenge. In other words, please give me an easy to drive, yet fast setup for one of the American tier 2 (or 1) cars. Jussi

The works Camaro SS is fastest normally, but I guess this is Ambush Canyon, which has some bumpy spots. Try minimizing spring rates, minimizing fast bump, maximizing fast rebound, and lowering tire pressure to 30 or 29 psi. If this isn't enough, increase ride height.
The works Mustang is about as fast, but doesn't have the bounce problems.
The other strategy is to get just behind the AI car near the start and ram him on that first long left hand turn to knock him off track.

How do I make the car higher? Jussi

I really can not do this by myself... I need a detailed tuning setup that makes the car easy enough to drive, so I can get through the tunnel with reasonable speed without hitting the walls. Jussi

Jussi Did you try handling mode "normal"? Spiko PS you can adjust ride height at the alignment tab and go all the way down

Turn abs off, the car will slow faster without it. Set traction control to low, you'll take off faster.
The ride height is adjusted under the second icon in the advanced tuning menu. Set it to max height and see if that helps.
The tunnel is a decreasing radius turn, so you need to brake while turning in there, or alternate between braking and turning.
The other option is to knock the AI opponent off track and try to get a 5 second lead before the AI opponent recovers.
There is some mod that makes the AI even slower, but I haven't been able to find it yet.

I'm stuck here again! Maybe I need to take the Scion again, since Camaro SS is totally useless in my hands... Jussi

Get behind the AI car, ram it off track and try to win by getting a 5 second lead before you reach the problem bouncy spots on the track.

How exactly is that mellow song by Willie Nelson going to help me? Are you trying to tell me to take it easy around the bends? Jussi PS. It has been translated to Finnish too, that song I mean...
