Hi all! There are new Drivers from Logitech at their Site. I guess they are out because of G27... Anyway, there are differences for what we use now... Or so I was told. Just so you know! Cya! Rogério

Is it the 5.07 version Rogerio? Remember that there are also different versions depending on 64 bit or 32 bit operating systems.
Edit: No its a 5.08 version - I am installing it now. Thanks for the update on that Rogerio.

If you can, give some feedback on it! If it feels the same or not... Thanks! Rogério

I tried it but I reverted back to 5.04 again. I did not like it because I did not get the same felling with the centering spring - it felt to loose and not as firm as I like it to be. That I think was the same thing with the 5.07 version i also have tried.
Maybe that is just me but I tried it on the quick race Glendale Club and I had trouble holding that line I know is the fastest way around that track.
Could you try it too Rogerio and tell me if it is just me that needs to get used to it? If it is better i am sure I can get used to it but why install something that you are liking if the old one is not broken. It took only 15 min to test it and revert back to the old one again.

Hi!
Well, I guess that was to be expected... The G27 doesnt have that "mini deadzone" of the centering spring like the G25 has... In fact that is one of the main reasons I will buy one when its available and I can afford it.

Hey Rogerio Well were can we read if the times you are doing with a G27 is faster than the times possibly on a G25? If it is faster I buy on tomorrow before our 6.0 Glendale Club competition ends Poul

As far as I know the G27 is available, it's just that I need to win the lottery (at this moment in time) to buy one.

I don't see why to update this anyway. I still use the 5.00 that came with the wheel. What advantage do the newer ones give?

I'm not updating my profiler either my version is also 5.0 182 "if it's not broke don't fix it" I bought my G25 wheel at Christmas 2006 for $225.00 US, now it's up to $300.00 I read the reviews on the G27 and they said that the G25 was a better wheel. Even though both of them cost the same $299.00 G27 advantage more button and better FFB gears. Big deal Sunny

Hi!
For me there are 2 reasons to update: first of all, the G27 doesnt have that "mini deadzone" the G25 has in Centering Spring; second, the buttons on the wheel can be a big advantage...
In Portugal you still cant find them... When I do, I will access the price and see if I can afford it. I cant forget that I am going to buy a new PC this month, and from my account it will coast between 1000 to 1200, just the PC Case. To that I still have to add Windows 7 Ultimate, which I intend to buy... ;P
Cya!
Rogério
PS: I think I might wait a little on the Profiler Update also... Poul, which version are you using? The 5.04 had 64 bit version?

Yes the 5.04 has 64 bit version Rogerio. I think i will try to install the 5.07 and 5.08 version again today and this time make sure to restart the computer and then make a Shift profiler and see if that has any effect.

Hi!
I asked this because I only found one file to all Windows Versions in v5.04... :x Maybe the same file has support for 32 and 64 bit?
In 5.08 there is a clear difference...
