So it was nice when we heard that hackers would get banned, but now I'm scared. It seems that it completly went out of control.
Some people are getting banned due to this. And if we believe them, it's only due to lag, or they got pushed by a hacker. So tons of them say that they got unfairly banned. Is it dangerous for our accounts?
Also, there are the false reports. Some players are stressed, and it seems that they send false reports. Is it to be feared? Can we get banned for false reports?
And if we get falsely banned, can we get unbanned? ~~~~~~~~~~~
I sent a message to a dev about these first two things, and I'm waiting for an answer. I'll post it here when I get it.
For now, I got reported by Hemispherical because he couldn't follow me on that S class track, we both had Veyrons. And for the lags... I got pushed by a speedhacker just before the finish line, reaching 385km/h in S class Supersnake. But I had a better time this day here, so it didn't get saved on the speedapi.
Lets gather as much info as possible, the more we know, the better it will be. :/

Something new, some people are getting banned because of multishift. It was said, I think, long ago, that it wasn't a bug. But now it changed it seems. :/

Hi Derpy, Just signed up. Had never been here before but looks like a nice place. I will detail the ban I got here in another reply once I get some time.
These bans are way out of control. No one over there believes me and I don't blame them, I never believed the whiners who cried about bans before. Now that it happened to me, I will certainly give it a second thought before I assume someone banned is really a cheater. Seems like EA messed this up too just like they did every thing else.
For anyone here who don't know me, my in game name is WATKYKJYGP and the one I can still play on is INILMATT. Not sure if I will be doing much if any racing for now though because the banhammer is out of control.

Here's what happened to me and how I think the ban was triggered...
I drive a truck so I was sitting in Kansas City MO around 4:30 PM Friday doing Late Departure and testing out the new Shelby I bought. I use the cell system to access the internet so around 5pm when everyone got off work the game got real laggy. I think it's because cell system overload but of course not sure. I do notice slower internet around 5 when I'm using the cell system for internet.
I quit doing that and tried a race or two and still bad lag so I just went to safehouse and then started driving my truck. I would mess around in safehouse doing vinyls or whatever while driving, (Yes it's illegal but not too distracting to only mess with paints vinyls etc). After about an hour the game showed an error message. I had just entered a different cell system and I lost the 4g data connection and went into a slower "Edge" network so the signal probably stopped for a second while switching towers. I didn't try to read the error code numbers but I saw there was a bunch of numbers instead of the typical error code 7 that I would get when the internet fails or I switch to a different cell system.
4 or 5 hrs later when I got home and hooked up my PC and tried to play I saw I was banned.
That's how it went to the best of my memory.
I wonder if it has anything to do with my IP changing as I went from one tower to another. I know that my IP changes often during the day as I travel around.
My history in world: I'm an average player who has taken about a year to get over 2000 DP ( I think I'm around 2500) and I have only won less than 10 class races and have only one #1 time (car rank) in a Silvia on one of the Rosewood Rally tracks. If I was a cheater trying to get a Bugatti i wouldn't waste a year trying to look clean and would never ever risk real money on boost for sure.
Also if the Devs were to examine my achievements they will see no farm bot use and my car ID's are all well within normal standards for playing and saving cash. Actually it takes me forever to earn cash because I can't play many hours a day except on weekends so I rarely buy more than one car at a time. I have bought several Boost cars at one time though. When the Juggernaut Nismo hit the dealer I couldn't help myself, I bought 3. One for my Apex driver and two for my main WATKYKJYGP driver. I had to have a blue and red one.
I heard that the EA staff said "cheats were detected" when looking at my account and I was floored. Cheats detected? There are no cheats on my system and never were so I knew for sure these bans are not all right.
This whole banning system of just saying your car acted weirdly is a serious flaw. They really should examine our accounts closely before banning but with 1,000s of cheaters, I can see why maybe a broad sweep at first is good. After that I would hope they examine the ones who dispute it.
No idea what or why bans happened to others but I think account history and game play really needs a closer look at than just saying the software detected something and swinging the hammer.
Anyway that's my wall of text and a little more than my 2 cents worth.

Something new, some people are getting banned because of multishift. It was said, I think, long ago, that it wasn't a bug. But now it changed it seems. :/ It was ok while Drew was still a CM. As far as i know Bullet and Fixnow were telling us that multishift is bannable offence. I stopped doing it since then, actually i haven't done Drags in a long time now. I've been struck by this false banning on two of my alt accounts a while ago. Those alt accounts were used only to test cars before i buy them on main back in the times when we had only 3 or 4 car slots for free. I tried contacting support when that happened, but never got any real answer or help. I also tried reaching Vitalbullet, and Fixnow later, while they were still in action, but haven't got any reply, and since then I gave up on those accounts. I can understand they do make mistakes, but they could atleast look into accounts when i made an inquiry. Edit: I'm glad you got your account back watkyk. Props to Jussi for keeping legit players in the game.

Vitalbullet and Fixnow probably didn't even know what multishifting is. In my opinion multishift should be allowed because Drew said so and he knew more about the NFSW, being part of the original team and communicating with the devs.
Getting banned for multishift is the most stupid reason there is.
If multishift wasn't allowed, why are there the drag skillmods that extend the perfect shift zones and why is downshifting even possible in drag?
If multishifting is cheating, why isn't the game patched so that the game allows only 1 shot of NOS for every shift during a drag race.
Currently multishifting is 100% legit technique for drag racing in my opinion, and separates the pros from the rest in drag race. I don't care what Vitalbullet and Fixnow have said, because they were not developers of the game, and didn't even have a touch to people who actually created the stuff for this game.

About that multi-shifting, I thought it was some sort of cheat/hack when I first started playing. Then I saw a youtube vid on how to do it. I never got really good at it but not gonna risk a ban for it after it was announced it's illegal. Sorry about your other accounts Beekilla. Not sure why they didn't work on them but at least they are alt accounts.

If multishift wasn't allowed, why are there the drag skillmods that extend the perfect shift zones Why are there skill mods that widen the RPM range for perfect launch? They both exist for same reason, to make it easier to hit that RPM range. and why is downshifting even possible in drag? If multishifting is cheating, why isn't the game patched so that the game allows only 1 shot of NOS for every shift during a drag race. The same reason why it is possible to run low class MP events with high class cars, no resources to fix the game. Jussi

Actually, if you check here...: world.needforspeed.com/guide/dragSo yea, downshifting is indeed a feature of the game. Multishifting, in my opninon, shouldn't bannable. It doesn't ruin my gameplay in any way, it's actually fun, and makes drag more exciting, lively. What bothers me the most is that they didn't even post an official warning about this. Drew said it was fine long ago, but Vitalbullet/Fixnow mentionned that it was a bug on a dark thread now lost, that half the forumers didn't see and obviously all the players didn't see. They skipped a step.

I'm still waiting for an official answer. I hope official answer will finally make it an officially bannable offense, since everyone who has ever seen a drag race knows that downshifting is not a part of drag racing. Jussi
