Dat login time. Login @ 17:42:52 Time Recorded @ 21:08:15 Time elapsed from login to time recorded : 3hr 25min 23sec (Times in PDT) You're walking a very fine line there, my friend. I don't think it was done intentionally, but you should really be more careful.

I have intentionally tried causing the speed bug on numerous occasions. It never works on my machine. I eventually get a memory error and the entire game crashes if it stays open for 5+ hours. I have had many first laps around 1:16, so that's normal. My lap time of 1:10.5 in this race was not normal - The fastest I had before then was 1:11.2. Still, the speed I held in turns on the second lap (especially the sharp turns) was unbelievable. I had been trolled by the Clio (venting to Faster, whom I actually told 2:26 would be possible with a perfect run when I started) and it's tendency to over-steer on many occasions but this lap was the opposite, the over-steering helped me cut corners at ridiculous speeds (similar to the Miura SV). What do you mean? And where do you even see those times? NFSTimes tracks when you've last logged in and it's displayed on a drivers' main page, so you can compare when they last logged in and when times are logged. EDIT:: I should note, when I say I "intentionally" tried causing the speed bug, it was so I could understand what it was and how it worked... Which was when I found out it would not happen on my machine (I've never hit a point where I could consistently make faster times than usual). I will try the track a few times tonight and see the times I set.

And where do you even see those times? 2 to 4 hours after login is the "grey area" for the speedbug, where it may or may not occur, depending on the circumstances. Past 4 hours would be considered a speedbugged time. Times can be found on NFSTimes by mousing over where it says (for example) x hours ago or x days ago, and it will show you the exact date/time it was recorded. To andsoclean's post: I believe you, we all participate on an "on your honor" basis, and I believe you're experienced enough to know what is or isn't speedbugged. The problem is that times registered in that time frame invite the doubt and scepticism associated with that grey area I just mentioned. If you keep the login under 2 hours, then no one will have any reason to question just how fast you really are.

GunsmokePhoenix, I'm on board with that, it was as you said earlier, it's not something I keep in mind. Mainly because I've never seen the speed bug or the slow bug before. I am still curious and will see what I get after work today when I initially log on.
