well you said it yourself then
"Ford GT40 is an -->AMERICAN<-- British car." Even if it is by half american it should not be eligible for this event

it seems that you don't get my point I get your point. But just because a car has a brand name from America doesn't mean it is American. The whole car was made in Europe..Ford was basically just the person who asked.

you talk about ford Of Europe, though Ford GT40 is not included Ford GT40 still and American car, it was built before Ford of Europe founded Read Carefully the red lines
source from wikipedia:
The Ford GT40 is a high performance American-British racing car, built and designed in England (Mk I, Mk II, and Mk III) and in the United States (Mk IV) respectively, and powered by a series of American-built engines, which won the 24 Hours of Le Mans four consecutive times, from 1966 to 1969 (1966 being the Mk II, 1967 the Mk IV, and 1968-1969 the oldest chassis design, the Mk I). In 1966, at the attendance of Henry Ford II himself in Le Mans, the Mk II GT40 provided Ford with the first overall Le Mans victory for an American manufacturer [3][4] and the first victory for an American manufacturer at a major European race since Jimmy Murphy´s triumph with Duesenberg at the 1921 French Grand Prix. The Mk IV GT40, which won the race in 1967, remains, to this day, the only car designed and built entirely in the United States to claim an overall win at Le Mans.

you talk about ford Of Europe, though Ford GT40 is not included Ford GT40 still and American car, it was built before Ford of Europe founded We have it in our European cars list, because it's nothing like the American cars of that era. I have watched documentaries on the car and my impression is that it is a car that Ford bought or ordered from Europe to be competitive against the European cars that were dominating the series at that time. Even if I was wrong, it's in our European cars roster, which makes it usable in our European Racing Series. We have it also on our American cars roster and when we have our American Racing Series, it can be used there too. New version however is an American car in ISRC 2. Jussi
