Career done, 1124 stars. I didn't do the badges, not sure if I will bother, for example, 100 miles on 9 different cars (3 Europe, 3 Japan, 3 USA).
Corner mastering was the most difficult, epecially the last turn at Nordschleife Karusell. The trick was finding the right car, since the game handicaps each car differently, and the required speed is set too high for most of the cars. The Audi S4 worked there though, and I re-did it (by restoring a save) about 4 times to confirm it wasn't a fluke.
The only difficult invitational hot lap time was Willow Springs Horse Thief Mile (you need sub 59 seconds). I swithced the gameplay to "normal" instead of "pro" which seemed to help (or maybe I just got better after a few tries).
Some of the last set of invitational hot lap events have bouncy car issues, but there's enough margin in the required time that by going a bit slower to avoid the bounces, that you can get all 3 stars.
I never figured out what was wrong with the highest rated car, the works Lambo Murc (20.99). Any setup changes and it ends up degraded apparently back to a stock car, but you can't upgrade it again. VGSpeeePro set a fast lap time with it, so I started a thread asking him what he did to fix the problem.
Ignoring the Murc issue, the Zonda R is the fastest car in the game, closely followed by the works Corvette Z06. You get the Z06 in tier 3, so I drove it the most. There are a couple of battle events where the Z06 is affected by the "muscle car not moving if advanced tuning used", but the race series worked OK.
In tier 4, there's a manufacture series where you end up driving 13 to 16 rated cars again. Since the Lambo Murc didn't work for me, I used the Gallardo. For the other cars, I used Porsche GT2, Aston Martin DB9, works BMW (E46?), works R35.
