I just hope that with that all that multiplayer jazz, they don't completely screw up single player. Also - I know this is Criterion and they're a good studio - I'm still a bit skeptical. Somehow this game doesn't seem to be anything like the Most Wanted we all love. And when they put the following on the official NFS site... "Criterion is shaking up Need for Speed. This is Most Wanted for a new generation of players."That just doesn't seem right. It's like they're targeting a bunch of kids who are too stupid to know what made NFS good in the first place (you know, the kind of people that don't know that there were actually like six or so games in the series before Underground). Anyhew... Link to trailerSo what's in there? Obviously it's open world, haven't seen any customizing yet and spotted a pick-up truck racing which just seem horribly out of place to me. Criterion had better not f**k this one up.

Highly doubt it. That new game doesn't look like they actually give a shit about single player experience. I personally don't really care if this game doesn't have a storyline. We have movies for that shit after all. But having Cross back once again would be cool I guess... Talking about movies: Dreamworks Studios has acquired the rights to make a Need For Speed movie. I can't wait to see how they're gonna screw this one up. If this one doesn't have Cross screaming EVERYONE! it will be an instant fail. Also, Criterion will oversee development of all future Need For Speed titles and Alex Ward (Criterion's vice president) has said they're interested in making one big game that has all the coolest features of the different titles packed together. So future games in the series are going to be really bloody awesome... ...Or a big giant clusterfuck.
