... Several actually...
But for some time now my racing days behind the G25 slowly got fewer.
I love the G25, as practically every owner probably will and since i
am so content with it, last weekend i decided that since it was not being used on the PC that much anymore (not at all)
it was time for it's second life on the Playstation 3 since Gran Turismo 5 still is my most played racing game since it's release.
Only then when i plugged in the USB i realized something i feared for some time now:
the G25 does not callibrate anymore.. It turns the wheel all the way to the right and stalls when it supposed to callibrate to the left.
That's right, my 250 euro Logitech G25 has died after only a few years of service..
Today i have decided that since it is not in proper working order,
it must be removed from my desk, and so i did with a tear in my eye.
This is the first time since my ISRC membership that i am typing on
my keyboard withough having to reach over A steeringwheel..
Truely a tragic event, at least in my humble opinion.
It certainly is not the end of my racingdays and i have some five or
so half broken backup steeringwheels lying around the house here
but since i wasn't racing that much anymore anyways, i have decided to
keep the desk clean until the fuel in my veins will ignite again.
Sad, sad moment for sure and instantly Gran Turismo 5 feels different as well,
even though i've never played it with a wheel. Just sad.
Perhaps i'll send it towards Logitech for repairs, i don't know yet.
I feel like i was being robbed back when i bought it; This is not what should've
happened for such an expensive racingwheel.
Aye, still around,
Bandit
