There are some players that would prefer an offline only or mostly offline experience, but with all content unlocked. Most players never go online. Based on sales numbers versus number of online players, in the case of older NFS games like NFS Undercover and prior NFS games, less than 10% of the players ever went online.
For these offline only players not interested in grinding through all the sidequests to unlock content, normally trainers or hacks could be used, but with autolog, this would corrupt the online stats, and could possible cause the players account to be deleted.
I'm also wondering if The Run can be played at all without an internet connection. Shift 2 could be run offline only, but the downloaded limited edition version required going online at least once to unlock the limited edition stuff.

Or anything else online only for that matter..
For instance: i found out the hard way that Command & Conquer 4 needs a permanent internet connection to play during my 4 month commitment in the PH where i only had the use of my laptop..
Things like that take alot of fun out of games for me, especially since i am one of those persons who practically never plays online.
Anyway, i'm not getting The Run anytime soon i think and i'm still not sure for which platform to get it when i do; That's another thing that just poops the party for me.
