I'll go with Micrak answer a bug master... Actually, BlackBox's games had least amount of bugs comparing to the NFS Games done by other development teams. So, I would not be so sure as you while making such statements. Guys are working day and night to make it the best NFS ever produced. listen to you dimitrikhoz your talking about a new game and your not even racing the one we got now.... the innovation is the junk games EA can get us to buy.... after you buy it,,, its tough chit now...... What do you mean, I am not racing Shift2? I am in the World Top 10 at Wrecords, Autolog, and VVVStats. I also made a couple of world records in career mode, just try to beat my times in class D and C (And I never used steering assist!) I am not playing the game around-the-clock because I have a full time job and life, and I prefer racing online, not against AI. But online lobbyes are empty We all like first Fast&Furious movie, most of us like Underground/ProStreet/GTA, so the NFS Run will be fun too. Do you know how far is from New York to San Francisco about 3,000 or 4827 kph thats a long azz way... So is this game going to be an endurance game or what? even at 200 mph it would still take 24 hrs plus to run,,, So they have to have short tracks that take under 10 Min's to run..... sounds to much like TD2-U or GTA a role playing play....this is not considered racing... They divided the whole route into stages, no one wants to drive through the desert/forest/plain 3 hours in a raw through the monotone landscape with zero turns and without seeing a house or a city. It will be an action packed racing game that will keep you glued to your screen/wheel all the time. It is entertainment, not real life simulator. I really like the concept, but since they want the handling like hot pursuit im out. Plus your not driving the whole 3000 miles, just certain cities and areas, that also ruined it for me. Sure thing, it is not Shift or rFactor, but Game Director, Justin Wiebe said they will balance physics between Shift and HP2010 (read, kinda like in ProStreet ) I am sure, Guys, you will like it. I will post some more cool info later during the day.

Its a fighting game ... not racing !!! Teach your kids & teenagers how to punch a police..!!! Totally rubbish game. Abdmaster, I will repeat it: "The out-of-car sequences ... ...won't take precedence over the driving." www.gamerzines.com/ps3/news/nfs-the-run-out-of-car.htmlPlus, listen to the Game Director, he explained it very well why and how they added these (fighting/running/being-out-of-the-car) components. live-event.ea.com/e3/chat/nfsI had similar discussion with one Guy at the EA NFS Run forum, so I will give you the same answer: “Firstly, one should not draw such drastic conclusions just after watching 2-3 min story footage from one of the last levels in the game. You do not know the whole story, you do not know what happened to the guy before, and you do not know why he was acting there the way we saw. Secondly, at least, he was not killing anyone for real. Killing is done in 95% of the new console titles no matter which game genre they represent. Plus, NFS Run it is not a simulator, it is a fun loaded action movie like survival racing game. GTA in the NFS World.” What is your favorite PC racing game, abdmaster?

NFS Run at E3: Did you know that NFS Run new designer Alex Grimble was recently head-hunted from Codemasters where he oversaw the Grid and Dirt titles? I have a video for you, where he revealed details about - car physics, - event replays, - damage models, - and non-linearity of the Run story: NFS: The Run Designer/Producer - Alex Grimbley If you want more - info from NFS Run Director of Photography - Adam Myhill ("who has pulled in from CGI flicks such as Avatar"), - explainations how non-linearity of the game will work ("In some sections there are branching outcomes...), or - car handling & physics (“We're trying to sit somewhere between Shift and Hot Pursuit”), please read: The best/ most interesting preview of the NFS Run game available on the Web (these guys know how to write about the games, UK Style ): www.guardian.co.uk/technology/2011/jun/07/need-for-speed-e3-2011-previewAnd I sourced some more details about Autolog IRTT (In-game Real Time Tracking feature) (partly explained before, by Justin Wiebe in his 30min interview): “For The Run, Black Box took a step further and introduced in-game real time tracking, which actually shows how close you are to beating your friends on a particular race. Time is shown based on where your friends where located at any particular second of the race, providing a HUD timer that shows how far ahead or behind the leader you are, at the particular spot on the current track. It’s a neat addition to Autolog that lets players see how well they are doing during the race, instead of just after its conclusion.” (Source: www.newgamenetwork.com/article/454/nfs-the-run-preview-e3-2011/ ) It is a great feedback tool, that will bring fun to online competition, and it will also serve similar purpose as Live Telemetry does in professional racing.

The annual video game conference E3 is over, Los Angeles Convention Center is closing its doors (for gamers) until the next year; it is about the time to sum up the results. As expected, NFS Run earned multiple awards and nominations: and there are tons of E3 NFS Run videos available on Youtube, featuring NFS Run Director Justin Wiebe or Executive Producer Jason Delong. But there is one that really stands out, with Jason, made by GT.TV Before I provide you with the link, let me give you some sort of summary/Q&A for folks who do not want to spend 10 min watching it. 1) There were a lot of questions about -how many events will be in the game, -what States/Cities/Highways will be present in the game, -how the route will look like Let me answer it all: Here is the WHOLE MAP of the Run from San Francisco to New York, where dots represent game levels/events: It was a screen from the game. But one NFS Fan with the name Shocker, from the NFS-Planet forum, went even further. He recreated the Run using real GoogleMaps! Here is the link: www.nfsplanet.com/pic.php?./images/nfstr/news/route.jpg#2) There were also a lot of questions about cockpit view. As Justin and Jason said, there will be multiple “classical” cameras like bumper/hood/behind. There IS a cockpit view (sometimes), but it is similar to the car cockpits in older NFS series. Do you want to see how cockpit view will look in the NFS Run? Here it is: (Not so many Hi-Res textures; but it can be changed, I guess, if needed) 3) Many people asked EA about crash/damage physics in the new game, also there were questions about the car list. Sure thing, we will not get the same damage package as in Shift2; however, it will look very similar to HP2010, and it will be great. Plus, trying to satisfy gamers' demands, NFS Run will be the 2nd game in the series that will feature SUVs!!!!!!!!!!! Like Porsche Cayenne (hopefully, Turbo S version ) SUVs in the game + crash mechanics: 4) And for people who do not know how NFS Run Speedwall looks like: ( I already put some suggestions for its improvements here: forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/list/6715319.pageIf you feel the same, or you also have suggestions, please feel free to share them.) 5) Ahh, I almost forgot, promised Youtube video with Jason Delonge:

Most of you already watched all E3 videos/pics of game-play and some of the featured cars. So, let's go a little bit behind the scenes today, and talk about how this game was born. Two subjects which I want to cover for you are: Inspiration and Technology. Jason DeLong already touched them a bit in the recent Podcast from NFSDrew: www.needforspeed.com/cat/podcastsSo, let's get it started: 1) There is one particular Racing Community in the World that served as an inspiration and a role model for the coming EA NFS Title –> The Run. The name of this USA Community is SuperSpeeders. They are not well known to the public, but they do insane things... And playing NFS Run you will be kinda part of them, but in the virtual world. Here is the real-life footage of “Across America” made by SuperSpeeders: Who they are: What they do: (watch for 2:31 and 3:20, lol) Head to head: Gamers, who want to get to know them closer, please visit their Facebook page and web-site: www.facebook.com/pages/Super-Speeders/204571479556925Or, you can even join their next Run from Las Vegas-> Miami (8-15 July 2011): www.superspeeders.com/shop/detail/2011_bullrun_rally/2) Now, let us have a look at the Hi-End Motion Capture Technology used in the game. It is very similar to one in the award-winning Avatar Movie. (Thanks to the NFS Run Director of Photography - Adam Myhill). For people who did not know, Avatar movie won Academy Awards for Visual Effects, Art Direction, and Cinematography. So, watch out for the next Academy Awards in 2012, may be you will find NFS Run title there (Just kidding.) NFS Run will not win Academy Awards in '12, but it will deliver excellent graphic performance. Technology used by the game developers includes features like 90+ bones for facial animation, ocular tracking technology (which was never being used in the games before), … To get more info about how it works, please watch this James Cameron's walk-trough: or read: www.news-world.us/pics/2010/03/02/making-of-avatar-using-advance-motion-capture-technology/

Guys, have you found a quiz on the NFS Run website?There are 6 Trailers/6 Locations/6 Major Action Cut-scenes in the game: 1st one is revealed, it is Chicago level. What are the next ones? NFSDrew came back from E3 and gave us a hint in his thread about NFS Trailers. He also inspired me to do a small story of the Run, so, I just put my surgeon's scrubs on (also known in UK as “Theatre Blues” ), took a scalpel in the hand and made it: Start of the journey: City View Bridge Crossing Run to the Sin City Hangover: (quiz: what car is it?) Denver: Vast plains of USA: WindFarms: (is it hennessey venom gt?) 5-Lane Highways: Pedestrians during the Run : Final Destination: Big Apple: Enjoy it . Now let's come back to the first question. After looking at these screens you will get a partial answer. 6 Cities are: San Francisco, Las Vegas, Denver, Chicago, New York,... One million dollar question: What is the 6th one?Hopefully, we will get an answer in the next NFS Run trailer. Please visit NFSDrew's thread, may be he will give us another hint

Hey Guys, now it is time to reveal the answers! One million dollar question was solved by NFSDrew (thx for his hints): Complete list of main cities/story milestones in the game: San Francisco, Las Vegas, Denver, Omaha, Chicago, New York. In June, EA is going to present the 2nd trailer for the NFS Run game. What do you think it will be? No worries, I will give you the answer: As you observed, each city has its main car. The main car for Chicago is Ford Shelby GT500 SuperSnake. The main car for New York City is Audi R8 5.2 Quattro What are the cars for other 4?Let's make our quizes easy (I will give you hints). Question Nr.1: What is the main car for the next July trailer, and which city it represents? Question Nr2: What is the possible main car for Omaha? If you will not get the answer from the first attempt, here is my hint: Those questions were simple. Let's go to the difficult ones. Story of NFS Run has multiple characters. Everyone knows Jack. But not everyone knows these Guys. Who are they, and in which parts of the story (main Cities) they appear?I know, there are some unanswered questions about Lambo VS Ford GT debate. [edit... it was debate at EA Run Forum about LAs Vegas screen from my previous post. Some say it is Lambo Miura, some say it is Ford GT. ...edit] I will touch them in my next post. Also people complained about very short career mode. Ok, let's have a look at this screenshot. Dots represent in-game events/levels.Let's count them. Do you still think it is short? P.S.> If you think that I reveal too much info about the cities/cars/story, please let me know. (I know some people may prefer to be surprised by all details after they buy the game.)

I did not see much excitement about NFS Run on this forum, so I decided to delay my post for folks who like solving puzzles (just to give them some extra time). " 1) Guys, I will admit, that some of my questions were very tricky. As usual, it is time to give away answers: “Who was the person in the sunglasses?”NFS Run gamers will meet this person at the very beginning of the game, in San Francisco. Some thought it was the MOB, some thought it was Director of Black Box... (just kidding.) I am going to post 2 screens now, that will lead to the answer. Prepared? Who knew? We will not reveal the second hero/lady yet, and you will have some time to come up with new ideas. Also, Run Producers (Jason in particular) stated, that there is, unfortunately, no link between NFS Run story and previous NFS Games. So, please expect new characters and better play from professional actors. 2) Now, let me do a new quiz. NFS Run will feature unique License plates for the cars, which will be, hopefully, customizable during multiplayer races. Here are 4 plates, please tell me: which car has them, who are the drivers, and what do you think is written on the 4th plate and why?: 3) Many international NFS Fan web-sites already started making their car-lists for the NFS Run. Let us have a look at Hungarian one: tcm.mconline.hu/index.php?p=/nfs/nfs18#Autok.comThey claim that NFS Run will have Another website, this time american one, also has its own list: www.advanceautocars.com/2011/05/need-for-speed-the-run-nfs-the-run-cars-list.htmlWho can we trust? I trust acetuner, who is the winner of the previous quiz for rightfully spotting Lamborghini in the game and advising us to look at the trademark screens after each trailer. We have awarded you with the Prestige Award, acetuner: And for the rest of us, let's have a look at the trademark screen after the Run Teaser: You will ask me: “how it comes there is Aston Martin, Pagani, Nissan GT-R, but we did not see them in the clips?” Hey, Friends, you need to watch very carefully to actually see them. I have possession of an Eagle Eye (youtube embedded player ), and I will share what I saw: Aston Martin V12 Vantage vs Chevy Camaro SS: Nissan GT-R SpecV Opal Black Now, you will get an answer on my question about the car in the 2nd NFS Run Trailer in Denver, Colorado. It is … Pagani Huayara!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NFS Run will be the 2nd game in the World featuring this incredible sport-car. 4) Let's compile our list of cars from NFS Run: 1. Aston Martin V12 Vantage 2. Audi R8 Coure 5.2 FSI Quattro 3. Bentley Supersports ISR (ps3 only) 4. BMW E92 M3 GTS 5. Bugatti Veyron GS or SS (ps3 only) 6. Chevrolet Camaro SS '10 7. Dodge Challenger R/T '71 ? 8. Ford Shelby GT500 SuperSnake 9. Ford Taurus SHO Police Interceptor 10. Hennessey Venom GT (ps3 only) 11. Mazda RX7 ? 12. McLaren MP4-12C 13. Nissan Skyline GT-R SpecV (R35) 14. Pagani Huayra 15. Pagani Zonda ? 16. Porsche 911 GT2 17.will be revealed in the next post (Lamborghini) 18.will be revealed in the next post (other brand... 19.will be revealed in the next post 20.will be revealed in the next post 21.will be revealed in the next post 22.will be revealed in the next post 23.will be revealed in the next post If you think that you know which cars are missing, please feel free to submit your guesses. P.S.> Next time I will also touch the map/events subject. "

Now it is time to give away the answers and awards. Here we go, all info about the License Plates: I should have quizzed you about the meaning of this plate, however, I will tell you the story instead. Some may think that Plate Name reads Bad As/*, but it is not. ASP is the name for Cobra used by the Pharaohs as a symbol of their power over life and death. wysinger.homestead.com/cobra.htmlSTRTFTR Plate is used on the Porsche 911 GT2, and this car/driver is a real fighter: Numerical plate was from the Police Interceptor vehicle. And blurred one is a generic plate for NFS cars with the “NFS” written on it. Actually, blurred plate that I made was taken from Mob's Cayenne that rammed Jack's Shelby. I was expecting to find “MOB” or something similar written on it, but it had generic “NFS” word on it. I believe it is an improvement opportunity for the developers, to work on details and to add an unique plate to that particular car, which will make the game even more authentic and interesting. Who is the award winner? It is demonGuY23. He was not only the first providing us with the right answers for the main question, but he also provided us with the link to the picture. Here is the CoolPlate award: Guys, just remember: the right answer will show your luck, but explanation or proof will show your skills. ) Now, let's move to the next quiz: Here is a screen from the game. First and foremost, you will observe that NFS Run is, probably, the first NFS game that does not have a map of the track/city while racing. Basically, it reflects reality, because Jack is crossing the whole USA, new cities, roads, without knowing exact directions. I find it very very cool, because it will add extra fun and will utilize gamers skills and memory to finish the race. Now straight to the question. During playing Chicago level at E3 or watching NFS Run videos, you also saw a small timer in the middle of the top part of the screen. Has someone of you, who was at E3, waited to watch what will happen after time will be out? If yes, please share your experience, and you will get an extra award automatically. If you were not at E3, just answer this question: What is this timer counting? Why is it in the game? What will happen after time out?I was thinking about posting some extra info today about unknown NFS Cars, but, then, I decided to give it some time, for you to think about them, and for me to update question marks in the current list. Here is the proof and screen of Mazda RX7 Type RZ: Here is one more proof and beautiful screen of Aston Martin V12 Vantage: Here is one more enigmatic car from the NFS Run game: Guess the car Challenge: What is the name of the car? Its speed? Its importance? Before I finish today's post, let me come back to the question of the NFS Run Map/Events. It is true that not every single dot represents a mission, at least not at this point of game development. It is only fattt points that count. But again, when I looked at the complete Map of the game and started counting fattt points, there are 50+ of them, so career will be long enough and exciting. Plus, do not forget about possible side events, and DLC. You can start asking EA to make a DLC Run NY->Miami, …you call it. P.S.> In the next post, I will touch the second person from the story and the car involved; plus be ready for one more surprise.

It is about the time to make my next post. 1) As usual, here are some answers and awards: Last time, we were talking about the 2nd person from the Run story, mysterious Lady and her car. And we got a lot of very good information from you, including an excellent link from RemkoVR: geekrevolt.com/2011/04/29/chell-trades-in-her-portal-gun-takes-up-street-racing/But now, I want you to concentrate on the car she is driving and the City where she appears. And whoever is still debating whether it was Ford GT or Lambo Miura competing with 911, just have a look at the side mirrors . 2) Today, award winner will be KrabKillah9. He was first to suspect a silver car, equipped with the famous 911 Tail, running amok on the streets of Vegas because of the young Lady behind the wheel. Here is your SpoilerMAster Award, KrabKillah9: We also have another solved quiz about Pagani Huayara, the fastest car in the game for PC, Xbox, and even for PS3!!! Why?- you will ask me. True, Sony folks will have Veyron in their garage, but it will run out of gas in the middle of the Run, and more fuel-efficient Pagani will take the lead... Veyron - 10 miles per gallon/ or 23,5 liter per 100km combined cycle www.greencar.com/cars/2008-bugatti-veyron.phpHuayara - 23,5 miles per gallon/ or 10 liter per 100km combined cycle www.topgear.com/uk/car-news/pagani-huayra-revealed-2011-01-26I know, there are still some unsolved puzzles, like about the Timer, but I will leave it for the next post. 3) Our next quiz: What is this thing in the middle of the screen? Where is it to be found in the game, and how it looks in the real life? 4) AND, as promised, a BIG SURPRISE.Many of you were speculating about whether NFS Run will have a COCKPIT VIEW or not. Some made theories, I have FACTS. Yes, IT WILL BE IN THE GAME! Here are in-game screens of magnificent cockpit-view from Ford Interceptor: (bare hands and no helmet-view, may be EA will invent “sunglasses-camera” instead, just kidding ) 5) And to spice up the end of this post, I will link here an “old” but pretty cool video about great looking NFS Girls and their experience with the Run... (If you want me to post you a bit more about these girls, just let me know, I have a lot of info to share )

But I found it very innovative that they brought these elements to the game. Since the 1st Underground I have been dreaming about kinda free roam authentic game with the chance to get out of the wheel and change the cars in real time like it was done in GTA3. And since Underground I've been dreaming about EA not milking the franchise by copying elements from all kinds of movies and other games which really have nothing to do with NFS. If you want a game to do stuff like GTA3, then I know a game you'll like very much. It's called GTA3. Why do you think that they lost it this time because of 7 exclusive cars? Thousands of gamers will buy this game solely because it has that insane Hennessy or 911 GT2 in it. But, I know, you like Ferraris. You completely missed the point. I never mentioned anything about Ferrari. As a matter of fact the only time Ferrari was in a post-Underground release of NFS - if I recall correctly - was Shift... ...as XBox DLC. So I already given up on that. Now EA includes these seven cars, which is awesome. Unless you're on PC, in which case you can f**k off. If you really really want it, just buy GranTurismo5 that has a full variety of them. Yeah, send me a PM when they release that game on PC. I'm not gonna buy a console just so I can get a few stupid cars extra - or for a single game. And EA (and all other game companies for that matter) must be out of their f**king mind if they think that I should switch to console, because they don't seem to give a rats ass about PC as a legitimate gaming platform. And what did you do in MostWanted by crashing dead all police vehicles? As soon as I got the pursuit achievements I went head-to-head against other players from ISRC. I liked Most Wanted, but that game isn't perfect either. All the replay value it had was due to the ISRC competitions and the AI cops were just way too easy. I know and I don't give a shit. Never said it had to be. As long as the racing is good and the cars are awesome (read: no VW Golf - if joke cars must be included then at least have the balls to include a school bus). ...it is survival racing action game with the emphasis on racing, so some gunfire would only spice-up the game and make police chases a real test of skills. This wasn't some gunfire, it's a freaking helicopter gunship owned by the maffia. It's not bold, nor is it surreal. From what I saw in the trailer it just looks like they're completely overdoing it. And did you see how many times the car got hit and nothing happened? Real test of skills that is. So far, it combines all the best elements from previous NFS series, and if EA will not screw up badly with the storyline, it is going to be the best game in the series. Even with the greatest storyline ever it probably won't be the best. And having a bunch of elements doesn't ensure the game will be good. Actually its just more shit Black Box could screw up. To me it just seems that they're creating a bunch of hype for this game, but the end result probably won't live up to it. Therefor I shall remain unexcited until it actually gets released. I really hope that they will have a decent sountrack for the game, because it is one of the areas I am really afraid about. As I already mentioned at the main EA NFS Run forum, even having some melodies from all different previous NFS series would be very nice. This idea I actually kinda like. As long as they'd keep out the shit ones (because NFS has had its fair share of shit music). EDIT F**k SUVs!

@scud
Scud,
Kat is going to spend over 500 Bucks on PC upgrades now,
when she could buy a PS3 instead and have 200 Bucks left for excellent games like GT5 (pure sim) or new NFS RUN with 7 EXTRA CARS that you will not have, or other new games she likes.

Hey Guys, here is my next post. 1) Last time we were talking about this magic device: KrabKillah9 gave us correct answer about it. It is a police computer. It has multiple controls for the lights, the C.B. radio, can look up info on suspects, and more than likely has a GPS screen too. It has access to the separate databases that contain info on all drivers/cars/suspects, all fingerprints, and even DNA! This is how it looks in the real life: You also gave as correct answer to the question about the Timer on the top of the screen. It is a SWAT Countdown. I wish, we had a chance to play that Demo again, and see how NFS Run SWAT Team really looks like after 5min are over... Here is your “Police Officer” Award, KrabKillah9. You earned it. 2) Now, our next quiz. If you watched recent NFS Run E3 trailer, you would observe Black car belonging to the MOB, crashing into Shelby. What happened to the color of his car here? May be this car is just washed properly? 3) It is time to reveal one more car from the NFS Run game. It is an Audi RS4: So, let's have a look at our updated NFS Run Car-list: 1. Aston Martin V12 Vantage 2. Audi R8 Coure 5.2 FSI Quattro 3. Audi RS4 4.Bentley Supersports ISR (ps3 only) 5. BMW E92 M3 GTS 6. Bugatti Veyron GS or SS (ps3 only) 7. Chevrolet Camaro SS '10 8. Dodge Challenger R/T '71 ? 9. Ford Shelby GT500 SuperSnake 10. Ford Taurus SHO Police Interceptor 11. Hennessey Venom GT (ps3 only) 12. Lamborghini Miura P400SV 13. Mazda RX7 Type RZ 14. McLaren MP4-12C 15. Nissan Skyline GT-R SpecV (R35) 16. Pagani Huayra 17. Pagani Zonda ? 18. Porsche 911 GT2 19.will be revealed later 20.will be revealed later 21.will be revealed later 22.will be revealed later 23.will be revealed later 4) Recently, we had a discussion with demonGuY23 about cockpitview. Official videos from YouTube do not have working cockpit view, all instruments are turned off. One video, that I found at GameSpot, is different. Sure, you will have zero control of the car in that particular moment, but it is from in-game, it is functional, and nothing prevents EA from giving us the chance to change to the cockpit-view camera at any time of the game-play, at least for this particular car, or for Shelby I posted earlier. If you want to see yourself, how it will look like in action, here is the screen and the name of the trailer: 5) Now, as promised, I start revealing details about nice and sexy Girls from NFS Run. Let us start with the 5'9 tall beautiful blond diva from San Diego, CA. Her name is Vanessa James (second from the left in the NFS Girls video from the previous post), she is 28, and she had multiple movie roles in CSI New York, Beverly Hills 20910,.. She even has her own clothing collection line SugarFix: sugarfixclothing.com/?page_id=24Here is her professional photo: Here are her photos as a NFS Girl: Here is her “real life” photo: And to complete the experience, I have videos of her with another NFS Diva, who will be the main character in my next post about The Run/NFS Girls: Girls playing NFSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS in Vegas (Either You Need for Speed or You Don't Need for Speed, lol ) P.S.> If you have any complains about Marketing of NFS games, please complain to Andrew Meakin, the Guy from the end of the video, just kidding . P.S.S.> If you want to twitt with Vanessa, use twitter.com/#!/VIXEN02x
