Rogerio, I have had this EA Download manager installed for a few years now and every time a new version of NFS comes out, when I open it, it prompts me for an update and it just installs the last est and greatest version of the software.... but here is my icon below of what I use to download the game, I assume you're will look the same way.. We all know with new NFS games we are going to experience bugs and I will create a separate thread for a bug list... But I'll wait until the game is release... I still didnt install it... Will do probably later or tomorrow! Rogério

Just heard 2h of Live Chat with one of the Developers...
Things I retain that are interesting:
a) Double Tracks and Cars. All Cars have Works Setups including the ones who couldnt be changed in Shift 1, like Zondas and Veyrons, etc.. You can upgrade all of them except GT3 and GT1. No Ferraris.
b) The replays can be shared and directly uploaded to YouTube, which is quite interesting. It seems it's part of the Autolog feature, which I still dont understand completly.
c) Cutting is limited according to Handling Level and any lap where you cut doesnt count.
d) Unfortunately you can't limit Online rooms by Handling Model, but you can limit the View Camera Used.
e) You can save multi-setups by car and for each track... Although it seems they will group them by "slow tracks, fast tracks, and stuff"... Dont know exactly how that will work. Anyway, we can finally have multiple setups! \o/
f) Building setups will not require to abandon the game... You can now adjust settings on the fly, which means that maybe I will build setups in Shift 2, thing I barely did in Shift 1. Also, you can bring up live telemetry.
g) It seems, although I am not 100% certain, that there will be tire ware... The ware rate will be in accordance to the number of Laps in a Race! ;P
h) The Damage Model was adjusted to prevent Wall riding, or at least was what I could gather... If people try to do what was done in London Tracks, now they loose wheels and stuff... Also be careful in night racing, because if you crash against the back of your opponent, its bye-bye headlights! ;P
i) The Elite Handling Mode seems to bring NFS closer to a SimRacing game more then ever... Even the ideal line is gone.
j) Drift and Race will have same physics engine, with the only difference being tire grip. So it will all be down to setup and car parts.
k) The online matching is now done by a list a charecteristics they monitor... So if you are a driver that likes to crash and trade paint, you will be put in rooms with drivers who have the same taste. If you are a fair driver you will end with other fair drivers. This is always a hard concept to put to work, but its good they are thinking about this.
There were a few things I would like to have answered, especially if the Track Grip changes with Handling Model like in Shift 1, but that was not done! ;P There is something else I am forgetting though... LOL

These improvements will make really big difference! (At least that's what I think!) The information K it's also very interesting . The clean racers finally be free of cheaters? Each style in their respective room! (Today I just dream about it!) Alexandre

Has anyone receive notification to download the game yet?? EA hasn't charged my credit card yet, so I am still on hold and I assume just like when HP was release I received a email notification to down load the game... I have had my EA download manager running for a few days now and nothing on this end.
A week ago someone mention that we could download the game early but wasn't able to play it till the release date so I was wondering if anyone had any update to share with us???

Hi Green,
Here I am also on expectations for download In Brazil, EA lets you download two or three days before the release date of games. During this period, we downloaded and installed the game. However, a program verifier, checks and only allows the execution of the game after the official date.
Today I accessed the site from EA Store and I saw a change in the official release date to March 31. I can not say whether this change was only in my region because, in official website of the need for speed, the date remains the same ... March 29.
In this case, unfortunately, I'll have to wait another 1 or 2 days by the release of the download.
