I have no idea. This was under level 12/13, Modern A, Nordschleife 24 - Road Masters Challenge. It's one event divided into four stages: First each part of Nord at daylight (maybe also dusk, I don't remember), then the pitch black full lap. I forgot about that one. I used the works Apollo, in all the modern A events the game would let me use. I've been looking for some way to adjust the gamma, but so far no luck. I adjusted my monitor setting which helped a bit, but not much.

It's one event divided into four stages: First each part of Nord at daylight (maybe also dusk, I don't remember), then the pitch black full lap. The gamma adjustment on my ATI card isn't working in full screen (3d) mode, but it does work in desktop mode. I switched to windowed mode (and all settings low), in which case the gamma adjustment works and allows me to see the track. I set the desktop background to black which also helped. I just redid that last Nordschleife 24 event, to get a clean lap now that I can see the track. I also noticed that the game defaults anti-aliasing to on, which slows my video card more than the other settings, so I turned it off.

Generally I think people wanna win and drive the fastest cars possible. Most important is that they dont get left far behind on track. Theres a small number of people that sets up manufacture races and drive the more fun cars in the game such as the Radical, muscle cars, the superlight and so on. I enjoy these races but it doesnt draw much people usually. Also I must say that I'm surprised with that so few people play online, it's much much less than in Shift 1. Maybe it's early but the level of competition online is very low compared to Shift 1 too. I havent seen many at all of the Shift 1 people I was expecting. I usually drive my different Lancia's I bought and upgraded for class D and C, thinking of buying one more for class B now I thought my Lancias had to be really quick cause I'm lapping people online with them. Then I tried the class D pbrc with it and I'm 20 seconds off the pace with this car. This tells alot about online racing. So dont get online with your best upgraded cars and perfect car setups and you will have no one wanting to race you. Edit: Almost forgot. I'm not sure of this, but I think it seems that when you do manufacture race (choosing car class, then "similar" on performance), you then choose your car in the lobby as usual.. I think this gives everyone not only the same car, but that they inherit your car setup and choosen upgrades too. This can be quite interesting and fun online I think.

Really dont know which tracks people like, I just know my own fav's I think most important is to just have fun online, because of the low level competition yet. Pick some car that is fun to drive, wait a little if you get too far ahead. Otherwise people will start to kick you out of the lobbys haha. For me if you want to race online some evening, I like to use cockpit mode with slower cars. The competition becomes much closer through the field, bigger difference the faster the cars are.

i like the slower classes as well i hate the main thing that there is no chat in loby or general while online and the fact that it isnt possible to invite frends in a loby ( for excample like in prostreet ) maybe we should create a board something like "im online at class...let`s get it on" ?

Also I must say that I'm surprised with that so few people play online, it's much much less than in Shift 1. Maybe it's early but the level of competition online is very low compared to Shift 1 too. Could be a few issues here. The career mode in Shift 2 takes more time than Shift 1, and some players want to complete career mode first. I don't recall how soon after game release before you saw many players online. It's also possible that Shift 2 PC version isn't selling as well as Shift 1 PC version, maybe because of more console sales or other factors. Another issue is that most players see all their records broken by a large amount in autolog before they even go online, so they don't bother to go online.

The vinyl system in Shift 2 is the most useless piece of crap they've come up with so far. They could've just skipped it all together. It's a disgrace! It was pretty bad in first shift (you could not freely rotate the car), but this one is just useless (no mouse support what so ever). Jussi

I think, transparency adjusts colour gradient from black to white. You may also combine 2 circles: one black and one white, scale/modify the black one and you will get bunny ears. The vinyl system in Shift 2 is the most useless piece of crap they've come up with so far. They could've just skipped it all together. It's a disgrace! It was pretty bad in first shift (you could not freely rotate the car), but this one is just useless (no mouse support what so ever). Jussi Where are vinils for numbers? Where are country flags? Where are community vinils? Where is vinil editor? How to apply vinils on the trunk of the car from the top when the camera angle is so unfortunate that almost all back part of the car is not shown on the screen? It is not a demo version, it is Shift 2: Unleash the BUGS! i like the slower classes as well i hate the main thing that there is no chat in loby or general while online and the fact that it isnt possible to invite frends in a loby ( for excample like in prostreet ) maybe we should create a board something like "im online at class...let`s get it on" ? I am pretty sure that in 3-5 weeks online lobbys will be full of players. I am already observing 3 times more players racing online than just 2 weeks ago. And I saw a lot of people I played ProStreet and Shift together. Most of us are still drilling career mode and are not very familiar with all tracks, let alone having competitive cars for all classes with track-specific tuning. Right now, it is a bunch of kids who play online without even knowing how to use steering wheel. And NFS Veterans are coming for a quick 5 min every hour just to check it out or if they stay there for hours than only to get their 100% winning percentage for the stats.
